Shifat is a KSU BMS Ph.D. candidate in the Ferrell Lab. She is investigating the bile acid receptor Tgr5 and the influence it has on driving ethanol consumption and on peripheral ethanol metabolism.

Titilayo is a KSU BMS Ph.D. candidate in the Ferrell Lab. She is studying a newly-discovered bacterial species (Ileibacterium valens) and its effects on metabolic liver disease and hepatic lipid metabolism.
